Pago del Vicario
A place where time stands still and a passion for wine becomes an experience.
On the banks of the Guadiana River, just 9 kilometers from Ciudad Real and close to the national parks of Cabañeros, Las Tablas de Daimiel, and the archaeological site of Alarcos, stands our wine estate — a unique setting where history, landscape, and innovation come together.
Here, among vineyards that stretch to the horizon, tradition and design coexist in perfect harmony.
Our winery, conceived as a telescope observing the world, rises from the gentle hills of the Montes de Toledo, embracing a 130-hectare vineyard where we grow varieties such as Tempranillo, Garnacha Tintorera, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Graciano, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc.
Each grape, a promise; each harvest, a story.
Shaped like a telescope, the winery stands on the vineyard itself and blends naturally into the landscape, with a bold silhouette along the banks of the Guadiana River and at the foot of the Montes de Toledo.
Each slope of the building merges seamlessly with the terrain and colors of the landscape, while the series of descending arches symbolizes the different phases of the winemaking process — from the vineyard, to the tank, to the barrel, to the bottle, and finally to the glass.
The design of the Pago del Vicario winery brings together modernity and tradition. Inside, you’ll find state-of-the-art facilities and a barrel room featuring a selection of oak types: predominantly French, as well as American and Caucasian oak.
